Robert Romeo Tomei's media - his brushstrokes - his colors - vibrate with the rhythms of quivering galaxies and titillate the broad weave of our imagination. "Life was very dynamic in those times, and it lives with me today," Tomei reminisces. "A person had to be very inventive, making and designing things from what little was available."

Today, Romeo Tomei's formal training, broad personal and creative experiences and ever present drive merge to animate his paintings and designs. His are works of vast spaces of imagination and deepest. They are shimmering particles of light briefly articulated in space before our curious eyes. Tomei's art parallels his Life Journey. It began in the home of his birth where the young boy. After formal studies at the Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences in New York, Tomei was eager to apply his creative energies to any available medium in the service of his Art. In over forty-five years of creative application, he has been a designer, director, consultant in film, advertising and interior design with a private and corporate clientele. Through their international firm, Tomei & Tomei Creative Consultants, Ltd. of Auckland, New Zealand, Romeo and his wife Heather, were the major creative concept designers of the Auckland International Airport. Presently, the Tomei's live and work on the island of Maui, in Hawaii. His paintings have been presented at solo exhibitions all over the country and today at Images Fine Art Gallery in Lahaina, Hawaii.
