"My paintings are inspired by the fascination of the created world. I focus to make each piece a new creation from my heart. When I am painting I stay flexible, following my creative sensitivities, working freely, pursuing my own vision without relying on a system of formulas. The French Impressionist Renoir said, 'Before nature, theories melt away.' By magnifying unique facets of nature and maintaining a fresh and lively approach, my hope is that my paintings inspire and touch the heart of the viewer".

Eric's paintings capture the special beauty found in nature. Color and its application are the main elements of mastery in his oil paintings on canvas. With them, combined with a lively brush stroke and vision, Eric achieves energy, life and an ability to touch the deeper thing. One collector said, "They take you in and then you go further".

Eric has been painting full-time since 1990. His training in art began at the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art and later the Fort Lauderdale Art Institute. Eric studied art in Florence, Italy, for six months before graduating in 1976 from Florida State University with a Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree.

Eric's work is included in many private and corporate collections. He has exhibited extensively, winning several national awards. It is noteworthy to mention that the Breakers Hotel in Palm Beach Florida has collected five of Eric's paintings to be displayed on their walls. Bert Reynolds and Hartley Peavey of Peavey Amps and Guitars are also long-time Tore collectors. Recently Melissa Ethridge and Tammy Lyn Michaels stopped by Images and took home one of Eric's Maui beach scenes.
